We build uncrewed vehicles and the software that runs them for defence and security operators, scientists and commercial industry. Our vehicles do the work where sending a crew is slow, costly or dangerous, on Canada’s coasts, lakes and rivers, and on land.
CTO and Founder
Michael founded Resolute Autonomy after fifteen years designing and deploying perception systems for autonomous operations. At Neptec Design Group he worked on lunar lidars and sensor fusion, and he was lidar lead for the 2017 Rolls-Royce Marine and Svitzer trials of the world’s first remotely operated commercial vessel. He has been a space sensor advisor to MDA Space’s Robotics and Space Operations division. He also leads sensor and sensor-fusion work on a humanitarian demining project in Ukraine.
Head of Manufacturing
Bill founded Greyline Instruments, a Canadian electronic instrument manufacturer, and as its president directed research and development, production and engineering. He brings more than thirty years of Canadian electronics manufacturing experience. At Resolute Autonomy he leads manufacturing: design for manufacture, supplier selection and production.
Resolute Autonomy comes from a family history of northern aviation. Our founder’s father ran Canada’s largest northern airline and helped establish the first dependable scheduled flights to remote Arctic communities. We build our vehicles to the same standard of reliability.
Our vehicles operate near communities, fishing grounds and shipping. They are built to serve those communities, to help save lives when called on, and never to hinder or harm the people and livelihoods around them. Community knowledge, harvesting areas and daily patterns of life are treated as protected information in our systems.
